Player plans
The normal progression of our Jaguars is Cub Jaguar → Young Jaguar → Guardian Jaguar. The FC team allows for further development that is more than aging into a new category.
The FC team is a hand selected team, selected by our head coach. Putting their skills to the test while continuing the four pillars — technical, tactical, physical and psychological — but at a higher level and with more expectations from the players.
What you can expect
New Beginnings
This is the start of something new. New beginnings is a new stage of soccer for our Jaguars. Building a pathway where kids can build a foundation of soccer at any age level. These players will train, compete, travel, make friends, win games, lose games, learn from it, hopefully win some trophies and actually feel what it means to be part of a team.
Key Focus Areas
FC Jaguars will have a primary focus of applying there skills learned during practice to a real life game. Developing their understanding of how to think under pressure along with how to perform under pressure. Within the regular Jaguar Academy there are scrimmage games amongst the Jaguars during practice. These games don’t fully allow for the ability to think under pressure and playing to win a game. Within the FC team they get to play games against other teams and work together to win. We will still be using the 4 pillars to achieve these goals but at a more advanced level.
Opportunities
The goals and opportunities the FC team has is to prepare the players involved for the future. Helping to prepare them for future tryouts, for more advanced soccer, and setting them up for success if soccer is something they see in their future. For example, kids who have the dream of becoming a pro, trying out for their high school soccer team or wanting to use soccer to get scholarships for college. All in all, the FC team is here to help develop their skills and help them with their future in soccer.
